Frequently asked questions
Don't see your question? Message me on WhatsApp and I'll answer personally.
Ask a questionYes. Lessons take place over video call, so you can study from anywhere. When you request a trial lesson, I'll find a time that works for your time zone.
You don't need an acoustic piano to get started. To practice regularly and make progress, though, you will need an instrument at home. At first, a good digital piano with a weighted keyboard that mimics the action of a real piano will do — for example, a Yamaha P-45 or Casio CDP-S110.
I teach children from age 5 and adults of any age. For the youngest students I use a play-based approach, and adults play their first beautiful melodies in the very first lesson.
Absolutely. Adults learn deliberately and often grasp theory faster than children. Some of my students started at 30, 45, and even 60, and now play the pieces they love.
Online lessons take place over video call (Zoom or Skype) using several cameras. You see a close-up of my hands, and I can see and hear you play. It's just as effective as lessons in person, and you don't spend time commuting.
